Battle Of The Barber Bags & Backpacks: 6 Top Barber Bags

Every barber needs a way to transport their tools. Barber students often pack up everyday and many barbers who do house calls need a bag. If you’re looking to buy something, hopefully this article will help you narrow it down. Let’s take a look.

Master Barber Travel Case

Vincent - $187

Master Barber Travel Case

When I started barber school, many barbers rocked a barber case. Most of the cases didn’t have clipper storage, you would just throw all your tools in the case and call it good. But it was a relatively cheap option that got the job done. This Master Barber Travel Case is the safer and upgraded version. If you like the briefcase vibe, this might be the one for you.

The General

By Appt Only - $294.99

20% discount with code BARBERDOZA

The General from By Appt Only

I remember the first time I saw The General. Leche visited my barber school to teach a class and pulled up on a motorcycle with this backpack. He started setting up his station and sure enough, the backpack carried all his tools. I remember being in awe of it, it was the first Barber Backpack I’d ever seen. He stored an impressive amount of tools and the bag looked dope. To no surprise, the bag was from By Appt Only which was founded by Vince the Barber. I recently picked up The General and it lives up to the hype.

    Large Premium Backpack

    JRL - $89

    Large Premium Backpack from JRL

The first barber backpack I bought was actually from JRL. It was under $100 and had more than enough storage for what I needed. I bought the Original Travel Backpack which has been sold out for a very long time since the last time I checked. However, JRL released this new Large Premium Backpack and it looks like a great option for someone who also does a lot of content creation. You’ll be able to store your camera and lens in the compartment. This option comes at a very affordable price point.

    The Sidekick

    By Appt Only - $179.99

    20% discount with code BARBERDOZA

The Sidekick from By Appt Only

I also remember the first time I saw The Sidekick. I was at the Tennessee Barber Expo and Marcus Harvey was cutting at the Squire booth. He pulled up rocking the Sidekick, which despite the size, it surprisingly carried his whole kit. Marcus is always on the go and mentioned how much he liked the compact size of The Sidekick for travel. It’s convenient for someone who flies often. I ended up picking one up directly from Vince the Barber at BarberConLA. It lives up to the hype and yes…it also looks dope.

    Grooming-to-Go Bag

    Babyliss - $129.99

    Grooming-to-Go Bag from Babyliss

I do not have a story for this bag, but I have seen it around. Babyliss is known for bringing innovation to the industry and it seems they have continued to do that with this bag. I especially like the guard storage in the top compartment and the detachable mirror.

    All-in-One Mobile Station

    G&B Pro - $189

All-in-One Mobile Station from G&B Pro

The only bag in this lineup that can turn into a mobile station. It has an extendable tray system that turns your bag into a station. Very practical design that eliminates the mess of placing tools on a counter top. Fun fact: G&B stands for Grooming & Beauty professional. If you are looking to level up your entire mobile station, check out their bundle that features The Rig from SLCKR.

There you have it. 6 of the best barber bags in the market. You really can’t go wrong with any of them. It will depend on your kit and what you will use it for. If you are looking for a discount, keep your eye out on their socials for some discounts or I would recommend stopping by their booth at a Barber Expo. Expos are a great place to get a discount. Hope this was helpful, comment below which bag is your favorite.
