HOW I STARTED AS A BARBER
I picked up my first pair of clippers when I was 13. My brother was my first haircut. When I went to university, I was the ‘dorm barber’. I was hooked. I fell in love with the craft and knew I would get my license one day.

HOW I STARTED AS A CONSULTANT

Before barber school, I consulted small business owners for a booking/management software company. I specifically worked in the beauty, wellness and fitness industry.

HOW I STARTED AS AN EDUCATOR
During 2020, thousands of students were not able to take their barber exam because California State Board shut down the testing site. This created a major backlog of students who graduated and were waiting to take their exam.

To help keep the information fresh, I started teaching a workshop for Instructors and a separate workshop for students. After receiving positive reviews from instructors and students, I eventually created an online course and shared videos on YouTube.

My goal is to create an interactive learning environment that engages all of your students. I use a combination of story telling, small group discussion and hands-on activities to create a memorable learning experience.

Developing your instructors is crucial to the success of your students and for the retention of your instructors. All of my workshops are approved for NACCAS credit.
