California Barber Expos in 2022

Every barber needs to attend an expo. They provide a space for networking, education, competition, discounted products and innovative barber companies. I didn’t fully grasp the ‘culture of barbering’ until I attended my first expo. At first, I wasn’t sure if I was at Sneaker Con or Barber Con…let’s just say, I’m grateful I wore my Js.

If you’re looking for tips on how to navigate barber expos, I highly recommend listening to my podcast episode with Ethan Mortenson from Savant Barbershop. We talk about the value of expos, how to prepare for them, who to talk to and how to talk to them.

TL;DR. Go in with a game plan, look at the vendor list ahead of time, set a budget for how much money you want to spend and bring business cards.

If you are in California and haven’t had the chance to attend an expo this year, you still have time. Here is a list of the remaining California barber expos in 2022.

I’ll be at BarberCon LA. Hope to see you there!
